First, the deflation sweeping China’s economy came for its cars and fast food. Now it’s coming for Botox and photorejuvenation.

So-Young International Inc. has launched a chain of 33 clinics across major mainland cities that offer chemical peels for 149 yuan ($21) and hydrating skin boosters for 399 yuan, bringing the cost of these procedures to new lows in China. Still, the company sees further room to cut prices, approaching the cost of treatments in South Korea, the global benchmark for cut-rate cosmetic work.
